The value story
It has never been cheaper than $6.24. That was September 2025. Its cuts run 60 percent off as a rule. There have been 59 in the 7 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.
Value puts it in the top 48 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 61 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. SOMA ($29.99, scores 70) and Satellite Odyssey: Prologue ($1.99, scores 83) both outscore it.
The press gave it 69; the people who bought it give it 78 percent. A 9-point gap in the buyer's favour.
This site sampled 616 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 5 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 49 percent of the 147 reviews written there were positive, against 78 percent overall, and those are 7 percent of everything written about it.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 6.2 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

What players say
It's fine, but bear in mind what you are getting when you purchase this game: -approx 5 hours of gameplay. -mostly walking sim with some light puzzle elements -horror aspects consist of jumpscares, eldritch symbolism, and like 2 actually tense sequences of running/hiding from monsters/robots. -some of the dialogue/notes are written in a really stilted way which isn't how people actually talk.
Decent, story driven "horror" game. Beautiful graphics. Short, and entirely on rails--this is not an open-world game; felt more like a push-button walking simulator. I'd recommend on deep discount if you have a day to spend.
Played this game for 3 freaking hours only to realize I can't save the damn thing. As far as I can tell your progress is only saved once you reach checkpoints. Considering players have no clue when they'll reach a checkpoint, I'd say it's a pretty good way to get people to quit playing and never start it up again. Who the hell wants to start over at the same spot if they're stuck looking over everything they've...
