I finally got around to playing this after buying it a year or two ago, and I'm glad I did. It's a very good Lovecraftian fantasy CRPG with old school vibes and graphics. I just wish I had enabled the in-game CRT filter settings earlier - it genuinely makes a big difference in visual clarity and eyestrain, which I didn't expect. 7.5/10. Combat is a little clunky sometimes. I found myself moving instead of attacking or mis clicking too often. Atmosphere is grim, dark and gory which I personally enjoy. Overall a good way to spend 20 hours or so despite a few frustrations.
I feel like I'm missing something about this game. It seems like the only viable strategy is two handed melee. Other melee weapons just seem useless in comparison. The only other combat weapon that helps is a bow. Arrows are stupid expensive for some reason and crafting them fails more often than not during rest. Even when you do succeed you only seem to craft a single arrow. They don't do nearly as much damage as 2...
