What players say
Truly one of the best CRPGs out there. The story, lore, characters (even though some of them are super irritating), and combat system are all polished. You can do an insane number of runs with different outcomes since it's a traditional RPG. If you haven't played any D&D games before, or even if you're not a fan of turn based combat, I highly recommend it. It's truly a one of a kind game.
Baldur' Gate 3 has ruined other RPG's for me. The sheer depth of dialogue, gameplay and worldbuilding is nothing short of masterful. I wasn't sure of this game at first and had minimal experience with DND and the CRPG genre, but after 1000 hours I've been converted to a lifelong fan. The game runs great, never if at all did I have noticeable frame issues or stutter (outside of Barrelmancy nuclear warheads). I cant...
I'd just like to point out that I have never played D&D, so how the game worked was all new to me, which took a bit to understand but once you get the hang of it, it's fine. This game's RPG elements are quite amazing, the level of customisation you can have with multi-classing, feats, ability scores etc. You can basically make whatever sort of character you like.
