What drives the score

The value story
The lowest price on record is $3.99, set in April 2023. It has been discounted 41 times in the 7 years tracked here, typically at 35 percent off, with about 7 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 13 weeks ago.
Value puts it in the top 20 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 88 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 94 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Blade and Sorcery ($29.99, scores 97) beats it on value, while it beats Legendary Tales ($39.99, scores 26).
15 of the 375 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 3,162 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 171 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 2 of the 15 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 76 percent of the 250 reviews written there were positive, against 91 percent overall, and those are 28 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 0.6 hours; clearing it takes 7, which is 12 times the campaign.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 0.6 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

What players say
This game is soo much fun and Skully is just the icing on the cake. I mean who wouldn't want a talking, sassy skull as a friend to play with a throw around. The first room has loads to explore, I'll admit I spent way to long in here before I moved on. There was just soo much to do and I was working on filling the board/achievements. Once I finally moved out of the first room I started to realise how big the game...
