Sands of Salzaar is a decent Mount&Blade-style sandbox RPG, with an ambitious amount of depth. You have skill trees, party + troop management, recruiting, reputation system, and massive battles involving you and hundreds of AI-controlled units. This is like an eastern 2d mount and blade! But it has something so special in its game loop that has me coming back to it even though i have more modern games... It's very special and enchanting. A bit of a learning curve :)
I played this game since first released and issues since then still persist. Game control is clunky. AI pathfinding is bad.
