The gameplay is really compelling if you want a story lite tactical RPG. Not too hard, not too easy, not too complicated or too simple. Crafting skills and mini games like fishing mining and blacksmithing are fun too. Really enjoyed it on release, but the problems arise as you get further in. Deployment is a pain, and at later stages with a sizeable party and lots of enemies, combat absolutely drags. Can't really speak for the DLC, but my understanding is that it's been underwhelming. There's a lot of good ideas here, but the devs seem to be lost in the sauce.
I really like this game and I'm going to put many more hours into it however I do understand people's grips with the DLCs, there being so many of them and their prices being close to the full game price. I plan on purchasing a few more DLCs but definitely not all of them, as I play through the game for the first time. I put this right next to other games similar to this like Project Zombied, Kenshi and Mount and...
