I wanted to love Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous . For a while, I did. There is an enormous amount to admire here: absurd build variety, excellent companions, a huge campaign, and Mythic Paths offering roleplaying freedom most RPGs wouldn't attempt. I played a Lich because I wanted an evil power fantasy: necromancy, corruption, manipulation, murder, and generally being allowed to do evil crap in a roleplaying...

This is one of the best CRPGs I've ever played, with probably the worst tacked-on additional required gameplay mode I've ever seen -- made all the more screamingly frustrating by how good the core game is in contrast. 130 hours of mostly fun gameplay, engaging story, and great characters. But the game definitely had its low points. In the end, I would say that this gigantic experience proved worthy of my time and left my digital storage with a great taste in my mouth.
