The value story
The lowest price on record is $14.99, set in December 2024. Its cuts run 50 percent off as a rule. There have been 29 in the 4 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.
On value it sits in the top 34 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Achilles: Legends Untold ($24.99, scores 45) beats it on value, while it beats Ashen ($39.99, scores 15).
The press gave it 63; the people who bought it give it 75 percent. A 12-point gap in the buyer's favour.
Steam's global achievement data puts about 10 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 21.9-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 43 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2023 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 3,162 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 266 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 5 of the 43 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 44 percent of the 760 reviews written there were positive, against 75 percent overall, and those are 27 percent of everything written about it.
The drop-off

What players say
Not a bad souls-like. I got it on sale which is what I would recommend. It has slow combat like DS1 but with more jank. There are some very interesting areas to explore though sometimes there are large open spaces with no enemies or loot. My biggest critique was the last boss before the final boss was horribly designed, I had to find a way to glitch past him and final boss was way more doable.
Nice souls-like game with impressive world. The only downside, the story is very difficult to follow.
Very empty and boring world. Feels unpolished and the Bossfights i got to were not that great. Maybe it gets better, but I am not convinced
