The value story

April 2026 is where it bottomed out, at $5.99. 24 discounts in the 4 years on record. They run about 60 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart.

It is pricier than 69 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 68 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Schedule I ($13.99, scores 92) beats it on value, while it beats Neighbors: Suburban Warfare (free, scores 17).

16 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written April 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 53 percent of the 387 reviews written there were positive, against 71 percent overall, and those are 13 percent of everything written about it.

14.6 hours to finish it, 55 to exhaust it. The completionist tail is 3.8 times the campaign.

It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 14.6 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

What players say

Although the game itself is no longer being developed, it has an active and dedicated community that keeps creating new content in the form of endless and fascinating outposts for you to die your way through. As far as I'm concerned, the both trap-maker/trap-runner game on the market.

really cool quest based game, progress is pretty slow sometimes but its incredibly fun

Very cool premise, and world-design marred by terrible dev choices on base-building. Essentially, your base only lasts a little while, making it really demoralizing to spend a hour or so trying to make something interesting/artistic only to have NO ONE play it over the course of a day or so, and it disappears... cool. /s I'm sorry, that's just wasting my time, especially for someone who mostly got the game while...
