Monster Hunter Stories 2 is an incredible JRPG, a massive step up from it's predecessor and just an all round incredible monster collector. As a game originally made for the Switch, MHS2 comes with better graphics, presentation, story and gameplay, all supported with major QoL improvements that makes it very hard to return to the original game. Whilst I can't be bothered to do the postgame and high-rank +gene grind, MHS2 is a very, very fun game. It does come with the patented Monster Hunter grind which irks me as a Factorio player, but it does also have its appeal. However the rock-paper-scissors element as well as the strategies from status effects, knockdowns, weapon switching, and skills make for a surprisingly deep game. The game's certainly more...
