The value story
June 2023 is where it bottomed out, at $1.99. Its cuts run 80 percent off as a rule. There have been 25 in the 4 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Past sales have already crossed the $4.65 BANGER line 21 times.
On value it sits in the top 4 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 64 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 95 percent. Among the games that feel like it, There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension ($12.99, scores 77) beats it on value, while it beats McPixel ($4.99, scores 63).
Steam's global achievement data puts about 13 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 5.3-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. Of the 345 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, none come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written November 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 91 percent of the 261 reviews written there were positive, against 93 percent overall, and those are 22 percent of everything written about it.
Valve rates it Steam Deck Verified, and at 5.3 hours it is short enough to finish on one.

What players say
This game is fun and hilarious. It took me a little while to get used to the format, but once I got into it, I really enjoyed it.
Do you want more McPixel? This is more McPixel. ...no, seriously, if you don't know, play the earlier one. It's more! Of that! It's even good more, which is not always the case. But if you don't want more? It's more! Of that! You don't want that! Go get more of something you want more of!
This might be petty. But the dev promised a level editor and I got the game on launch because of that. Turns out there wasn't a level editor yet, but the dev promised it was still coming. Now it's been 3, almost 4, years since launch with no progress updates or any reassurence that the level editor is still being worked on. Quite disappointing.
