The value story
The lowest price on record is $19.99, set in March 2024. It has been discounted 35 times in the 6 years tracked here, typically at 20 percent off, with about 7 weeks between sales.
It is pricier than 93 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 84 percent. Among the games that feel like it, IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad ($49.99, scores 56) beats it on value, while it beats Fog Of War - Free Edition (free, scores 0).
Steam's global achievement data puts about 17 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 10.2-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 51 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written February 2021 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,071 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 32 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 5 of the 51 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 30 percent of the 738 reviews written there were positive, against 63 percent overall, and those are 30 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
brilliant game the campaign was great the submarine mission was brilliant and getting to go on bombers and shoot down planes in the ball turrets and other positions is also great, only thing i dont like is that the missions feel short and feel like you're looking at a loading screen to play the next mission other than that the game is brilliant
I love replaying this game at least once a year. The missions are varied with many interesting locations, and the medium of VR gets utilized to its maximum with missions taking place on tanks, planes, boats, and even a U-Boat. Story is nothing to write home about but the settings and atmosphere really make it up for me. I love stopping to take in the scenery every once in a while. My only real complaint of this game...
This is not a VR experience I would recommend. On top of technical issues, the very structure and story of the game are barely average. If you want to buy, at least get at the deepest discount you can find. It is definitely not worth full price.
