I have mixed feelings about the game. On one hand, I love the expansion to the overworld with unique enemies, the better dungeon management with nice new additions and the very beautiful graphics. On the other hand, I found the story super boring and way too dragged out. Great fun: build your dungeon, keep your creatures happy, develop your technology, to conquer the world above! A few missions are a bit too forced-rush for my liking, but I understand why the mechanics are there: so you dont stagnate hiding behind a bajillion traps. The humour is awesome, the visual design is spot on, and the gameplay is highly entertaining! Recommended!
At first I really disliked Dungeons 4, because the developers took out the mechanic I really enjoyed: monsters used to work (at least in Dungeons 2 and 3). It made every monster feel needed in a way. I also found the start of this campaign really boring - it might be chalked up to me choosing Impossible difficulty, though after lowering it, the game became bearable.
