What players say
Aces and Adventures is a deep and complex deckbuilder that is sliced up into bite sized story chapters. I didn't find this format all that enjoyable, but the overall game is still amazing and the voice acting and delivery is top notch. The base game provides five different classes and eventually a generous amount of cards to select from. Later on, there will be more map based path adventuring which I find much more...
A Fresh Take on Deckbuilding Basing combat around poker cards is a really cool idea, and it creates a nice balance between luck and planning. I enjoyed the story. It isn't just a series of battles. The different choices you make can lead to different encounters and events, which gives each run a little more personality. I also really like the art style. It has its own identity and fits the game's fantasy world...
