Probably one of the best 3D platformers on Steam, with some solid gunplay. It's absolutely gorgeous - so much so that the line between a Pixar movie and real gameplay practically disappears. It runs great too - the optimization is excellent. This is the kind of game Sony should be making, instead of chasing a self-destructive push for DOA live-service titles.
Just no. It's visually impressive and that's about all it has going for it. The dialogue and story are awful and childish. The gameplay is fine but worse than R&C games from the ps2 era so is that really good enough? If this is your first R&C you might love it but I just kept thinking "man I wish I was playing going commando instead" the whole time.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a dazzlingly good time. The gunplay is fast, furious, and explosive, and as always, the weapons are wildly creative, ridiculous and hilarious. The characters carry the story just as well as the arsenal does. Rivet is a compelling new protagonist who keeps things fresh, Ratchet remains as fun and likable as ever, and Clank is one of my favorite characters in the series, also joined...
