The value story
It has never been cheaper than $2.19. That was January 2026. 40 discounts in the 4 years on record. They run about 50 percent off, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 3 weeks ago.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 3 percent on value. It is pricier than 63 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 96 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Black Myth: Wukong ($59.99, scores 80) beats it on value, while it beats The Slormancer ($19.99, scores 49).
Of the 615 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 3 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written October 2022 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 82 percent of the 464 reviews written there were positive, against 92 percent overall, and those are 11 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 6.4 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

Then a desert, now there's zombies, wait, there's snow now... Is that a dragon? The language sometimes alternates between English and Mandarin/Cantonese (sorry, can't tell which), the equipment inversely scales to the level of tech the PC running the game is...
