Really great hidden gem. The controls are a bit janky, and dying and losing all your items at first is very punishing. Overall however, the gameplay and story are good.

Withering Rooms is an absolute masterpiece from a (mostly) SOLO DEVELOPER, and you can feel the blood, sweat, and tears that went into creating this game. It's an extremely unique 2D sidescrolling roguelike metroidvania, in a world-setting that's oozing with creepy ambience. The combat is a little janky, but once you get used to it, you may even end up appreciating it (as I did). There are so many quests...
