I discovered this game through a youtuber and it made me curious. You would not tell from the style and graphics but it's a pretty challenging game! I even found the atmosphere/soundtrack to be quite ominous and unsettling lol I often felt nervous because the game is hard and you could lose all your progress with a simple mistake lol So it's better to go slow and not rush through the levels, take your time. Purchased this game around a decade ago and I finally got around to beating it today. It might just be the way my mind works (poorly), but I found this game to be a bit more challenging than appearances would suggest. The encounter-by-encounter challenge isn't really all that to talk about, but it's more of the accumulative nature of fighting monsters, avoiding traps, and taking fall damage from not being careful...
Absolutely adore this game. Superb atmosphere. Feels like a dream. I've picked this up at a couple different points in my life, many years apart, and it always feels so nostalgic, like the library is always waiting for me...
