Probably the shmup I'd recommend to new players, especially since the tutorial is so well done. Art is OK, but the soundtrack and gameplay are killer. Fantastic game

Absolute master class in shmups, a game I would recommend to anyone interested in getting into the genre-- especially those who think they don't or wouldn't like it. GunVein starts by teaching you the basics better than any other shooter I have played, and it will quickly have you hooked with how smooth, satisfying and belligerent everything is.
