In short, don't expect a clone of the classic JA / JA2 games. It is a different game with far better engine. I love it. I also love turn based games and hate RTS so don't be put off; this game is a very good hybrid of JA: BIA Just my gameplay hours for a standalone DLC of JA: BIA would be more than enough for a big big big big big recommendation of this game.
