The value story

The lowest price on record is $9.99, set in May 2026. 32 discounts in the 3 years on record. They run about 40 percent off, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended about 4 weeks ago.

Value puts it in the top 50 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 89 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Magicite ($9.99, scores 65) beats it on value, while it beats Hero Siege ($7.99, scores 19).

This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 21 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written January 2026 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 51 percent of the 1,727 reviews written there were positive, against 80 percent overall, and those are 10 percent of everything written about it.

HowLongToBeat players log 9.6 hours as a typical playtime, and completionists log 86, 9.0 times as much.

This adds an interesting strategy layer to the Hades formula, which mostly gives you...

This game is great. It's one of the best ARPG/Roguelikes I've played and that is one of my most played genres and something I still play often. The learning curve is there like most of them but it doesn't feel overwhelmingly oppressive to learn early on, which is a nice change from a lot of them. I appreciate how perma unlocks work in this game, you don't have to fiddle with making a bunch of choices and second...
