More about Voidborn
Of the 350 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 8 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written August 2023 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,174 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 38 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. Inside the two-hour refund window, 70 percent of the 127 reviews written there were positive, against 81 percent overall, and those are 36 percent of everything written about it.

I should preface by saying that this isn't a bad game, but I wouldn't go as far as to call it good either. Any build you can make gets pretty repetitive after one playthrough, and it makes each replay feel very samey. Every boss leading up to the final boss is, frankly, piss easy. So long as you have a...
this game is like if ultrakill met hades, and it works really well. (the music is among the bigger selling points)
