The value story
The lowest price on record is $5.99, set in September 2025. Its cuts run 50 percent off as a rule. There have been 18 in the 3 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 2 days ago.
Value puts it in the top 10 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 82 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 91 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Oozi: Earth Adventure ($9.99, scores 57) and BZZZT ($11.99, scores 75) both outscore it.
The press gave it 78; the people who bought it give it 86 percent. An 8-point gap in the buyer's favour.
This site sampled 457 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 4 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 68 percent of the 186 reviews written there were positive, against 86 percent overall, and those are 17 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 3.6 hours; clearing it takes 8, which is 2.3 times the campaign.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 3.6 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

An incredibly fun gameplay loop that I wish was just a little bit longer. You can easily run through the game in 3-4 hours or less, but the time trial mode and hidden coins allow for a good bit of replayability if that's your thing. The actual digging is some of the most fun movement I've had in a game in a long time. They add other elements to the gameplay as you go, sometimes specific to the world you're in, which...
Here's what you do: You have a big drill that lets you move through certain substances like dirt, sand, and water. You can also jump, and later be able to grapple certain objects with a hook-shot that allows you to swing around to change your direction. There are occasionally machines which you operate by placing your drill in them, such as a machine gun and a snowmobile. I have no idea what the story is and there...
Super smooth, satisfying, crunchy gameplay. Each stage feels unique. Difficulty level is on point, and length too. Short and fun game. Just make sure to play on a controller, using the analogs.
