What drives the score

How to read this

Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work

Gates the score. Weak reviews cap it, and nothing reaches BANGER without strong ones

Well above the typical game's share of reviews from refunded buyers, so the score takes a small dock

It is pricier than 94 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 63 percent. Among the games that feel like it, IXION ($34.99, scores 51) beats it on value, while it beats Port Royale 4 ($39.99, scores 2).

More about Republic of Pirates

Of the 418 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 9 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written June 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 2,597 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 265 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 1 of the 9 refunded reviewers was past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review.

its a bit like anno 1800 where the population needs to be close to the buildings your trying to fill with workers good idea to some point but a very bad choice in others. warehouse goods are across the whole map rather than being island for island which again comes across as a bad choice but good one too. im not sure how i would rate this yet i havent had enough time to rate it properly i like it and dont like it at...

Note: I picked this up during a sale for sub £10. If you're wondering about picking it up, please pick it up during a sale honesty. For what it is, essentially a pirate's version of Anno, it's rather fun in all. That being said, it feels unfinished. Nothing really noteworthy to mention from a mechanics point of view other than it just feels unfinished, The features as they currently stand, feels like it could be...

I cannot like the game no matter how hard I try. I was hoping that it was going to be a new "Cutthroats". Its not. The economy seems broken to me. Every production building seems to cost more in upkeep than it makes. The larger buildings dont influence a larger area or produce larger crops. I got the +7500 money award early on but now whatever I try I just go bankrupt trying to keep the people happy. Raiding rarely...
