The value story
The lowest price on record is $2.49, set in June 2025. It has been discounted 13 times in the 4 years tracked here, typically at 30 percent off, with about 14 weeks between sales. Today's $3.49 at 30 percent off still sits 40 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
This sale is doing real work. 75 at list, 82 today.
Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is cheaper than 67 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 93 percent. The nearest things to it, Fears to Fathom - Norwood Hitchhike ($2.49, scores 71) and Fears to Fathom - Ironbark Lookout ($5.99, scores 78), are both worse buys on this math.
12 of the 526 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written January 2023 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 90 percent of the 1,242 reviews written there were positive, against 92 percent overall, and those are 45 percent of everything written about it.
