The value story
It has never been cheaper than $4.99. That was March 2025. 9 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 40 percent off, roughly 14 weeks apart. Today's $6.99 at 30 percent off still sits 40 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
At full price it scores 58. The current cut is what makes it a 63.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 8 percent on value. It is better reviewed than 85 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Fears to Fathom - Ironbark Lookout ($5.99, scores 78) beats it on value, while it beats The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe ($24.99, scores 60).
Of the 763 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 42 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written September 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,656 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 50 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 14 of the 42 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 73 percent of the 715 reviews written there were positive, against 87 percent overall, and those are 21 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
These FTF games have a real problem with throwing things in the back of pick-up trucks. It seems impossible. This the second game that it's happened and it runs into a dead end and you have to shut the game down.
For a 5th episode, it's pretty lackluster. I get the chores are a staple of the games (kinda), but it's just such a slog in this game. The scary bits are also a letdown but I wont spoil it.
