The value story
October 2026 is where it bottomed out, at $15.99. 6 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 15 percent off, roughly 16 weeks apart. Today's $15.99 at 20 percent off matches the lowest price in the record. $5.37 is what it would take to make this a BANGER, and nothing in its history goes that low.
At full price it scores 61. The current cut is what makes it a 65.
On value it sits in the top 4 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 90 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 99 percent. Among the games that feel like it, BallisticNG ($14.99, scores 90) beats it on value, while it beats Disney Speedstorm (free, scores 16).
This site sampled 316 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 2 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written August 2024 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 96 percent of the 286 reviews written there were positive, against 98 percent overall, and those are 38 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 2 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.
What players say
To be honest this game is a blast to play.My only grip with it is the unfinished state of the game and no current update on the development process going forward to release the rest of the games content. Would I recommend people to try it out sure like a trial run.
Fantastic Game! I'm a huge fan of F-Zero X and GX and this game scratches that itch! And the stylized cel-shaded graphics remind of Dreamcast games like Jet Grind Radio. Fun tracks, solid controls, some interesting new mechanics, and buttery smooth frame rate. What's not to love?
Aero GPX is exactly what you may think it is. After 20 years of the F-Zero series being on an indefinite hiatus with no new game in sight, many indie game teams have tried to make their own successors to F-Zero with varying degrees of success, but from all my time playing anti-gravity racing games Aero GPX is "the one". You'll have to take my word for it as Aero GPX plays just as good as its spectacle is with a lot...
