I'm coming into Persona 3 Reload as someone who never touched the original or the PSP version. My entry point to the series was Persona 5 Royal, and honestly, Reload is one of the best things that could've happened to newcomers like me. I only got around to checking out P3R in 2026. They definitely made an effort to fix all the weak points of the original version. Though the key phrase here is "made an effort." Overall, if you're looking to get into the Persona series, start with the Persona 5 R. it's more cheaper and doesn't feel like a "first raw attempt" the way the 3rd game does.
