The value story
It has never been cheaper than $0.49. That was December 2018. It has been discounted 85 times in the 14 years tracked here, typically at 80 percent off, with about 7 weeks between sales. Today's $1.24 at 75 percent off still sits 153 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Value puts it in the top 47 percent of the games it competes with. It is cheaper than 78 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Dead Cells ($24.99, scores 95) beats it on value, while it beats GoNNER ($1.99, scores 52).
Inside the two-hour refund window, 70 percent of the 215 reviews written there were positive, against 82 percent overall, and those are 33 percent of everything written about it.
HowLongToBeat players log 11.8 hours as a typical playtime, and completionists log 30, 2.5 times as much.

What players say
Boring and repetative. The idea is interesting but it's not well enough made to get a positive review
I wish I could launch this game into space. (I also wish I could give a neutral review) Cargo Commander is a pretty straightforward title. You play as a guy who's stranded in space with the job of salvaging cargo from random other ships that collide with yours. In said ships you'll find a bunch of random cargo, enemies, weapons and pickups. And that's it. That's the game. You basically rinse and repeat the same loop...
