The value story
It has never been cheaper than $11.99. That was August 2026. 26 discounts in the 3 years on record. They run about 22 percent off, roughly 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 6 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 6 weeks.
Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 89 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 99 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Dead Cells ($24.99, scores 95) beats it on value, while it beats Neon Abyss ($19.99, scores 69).
The math says it holds its tier up to $63.65, and you are being asked for $19.99.
The press gave it 83; the people who bought it give it 94 percent. An 11-point gap in the buyer's favour.
Steam's global achievement data says about 18 percent of players ever finish it. On a 12.7-hour game, that is a lot of paid-for hours most people never see. Of the 599 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 5 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written October 2025 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 86 percent of the 2,081 reviews written there were positive, against 94 percent overall, and those are 7 percent of everything written about it.
The main story runs 12.7 hours. Doing everything runs 58, 4.6 times as long.
At 12.7 hours it is a handheld-sized game, and Valve rates it Deck Verified.

I would've recommended it at launch just for being a very solid game but after all the support and free updates it has gotten I would feel bad for not writing a review for it. This is a roguelike with a focus on action combat and its variety of characters, mostly being BlazBlue characters. During each run you unlock tactics and potentials, the former being element based abilities that are tied to your moves and the...
I played this game for about 100 hours and i can say it is worth every euro spent on it but there is a small problem... if you want to play multiplayer you need to wait for hours for someone to join that is in your region. In one full day about 16 hours i've waited and i only got like 3 online matches (one match takes from 20 to 30 minutes) and i was non stop in the lobby, but everything ells in this game is good...
It's hard to explain why this game is so addictive. The combat and abilities that you gain through "Potential" are so numerous and detailed; in any other game it would be too much to just pick up and play, but Entropy Effect balances it in such a way that it just works. While the amount of characters or "Prototypes" is vast, the stages really aren't. Even after the new story update, you'll play the same stages over...
