The middle child of the Souls franchise. It's often forgotten, weird, and hangs out with its own clique. Like the middle child with rough childhood, hot topic clothes, nose piercings, spike bracelets, and emo hair, Dark Souls 2 has a combination of weird map designs (earthen peak to iron keep- swamp to lava), conflicting lore, conflicting art direction, and a troubled production schedule. Play it for the Souls...
My first souls-like. The game for which I created my Steam account. It has soul, atmosphere and even whimsy. I love it.
