after 13 hours, Im calling it quits. The game is really cool. Runs really well until it doesnt. The game crashes at random too often. In the beginning i just dealt with it. After it happens on 2 separate computers and almost every time i play, im done. If not for the crashes, its really enjoyable
I really tried to like this game. I put the hours in, slogged through and completed it.. but it all felt a bit hollow. It looks unique and beautiful - at night especially the glowing landscapes are gorgeous. But that wasn't enough. Combat was pretty samey and boring by the end, I saw the "twist" coming a mile off, and in terms of the world, storyline, characters and quests I didn't feel like there was much that...
Avowed is a very good first-person action-RPG created by Obsidian (of Fallout New Vegas and Outer Worlds fame) that reminded me a lot of Skyrim even though it was way more limited in scope and complexity. It takes place in the world of the Pillars of Eternity games (great RPGs), but you don't need to have played them before.
