This game is alright but it's a slow boil even for a JRPG. They could have stood to ramp up the dificulty a lot sooner so I didn't feel like I was falling asleep in the start.

~ Long time JRPG player ~ Have played every psx and ps2 and snes jrpg I have waited YEARS to play this game. My expectations were high and I knew coming in it was a slow burn but I wanted that old psx feel where we develop characters and world building, and THIS game certainly has both of those or sure. - THE GOOD/GREAT - I did like the world building and character development. I always consider plot to be important...
First JRPG I have finished in a long while and I cannot wait to pick up Second Chapter! I want to begin by saying this game holds up incredibly well and runs flawlessly despite its age. The only thing I would recommend doing before playing would be to download the Japanese voice acting patch as the game lacks voiced dialogue without it. The voice talent is great too!
