If you're curious about whether to purchase Elminage Gothic, the very first question is whether or not you like Wizardry style dungeon crawlers. If you don't know what that is, I strongly recommend playing the updated version of Wizardry first to see if you like that style of game, because Elminage Gothic is a longer and less forgiving version of that. With that out of the way, there's a lot to love here and a fair...
It's a good attempt at a Wizardry clone, and I normally love all things Wizardry. Unfortunately for me it felt... I don't know. Like it had absolutely no soul to it. Very flat and tedious. All the pieces of the game were there but I felt nothing at all after a few hours of playing. The artwork / spritework is **absolutely top-notch** however. A for effort.
