Having finished the game now, I can only recommend it with all my heart. The mechanics aren't super complex but there is enough to have fun as a game. And as a story? It more than exceeds the quality you'd expect from the price tag. If you love esoteric narratives that slowly unfold in deeper complexity? A definitive recommend.
A really solid indie RPG experience that truly does start testing you with the faith system. The story is SUPER jumbled and does require the player to really play into the games rules to connect the mess of pieces the game gives you via progression, slight bit ARG vibes but nothing too crazy in this. Overall, a 8/10 but PAST FAITH 7 will absolutely punish you with your plays if not careful, don't allow it to ruin...
This is a very good roguelike, and initially the story is enough to keep you on the hook. But metacommentaries are played out, and this isn't a particularly good spin on the idea either. In fact it's actually quite derivative of other indie game stories, which is unfortunate. Writing a story that discusses the challenges of creating art is a safe bet.
