The value story
Across all 111 discounts in the 12 years tracked, the median cut is 85 percent, about 5 weeks apart. Today's $0.79 at 84 percent off still sits 61 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 8 percent on value. It is better reviewed than 82 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Northgard: Definitive Edition ($34.99, scores 72) beats it on value, while it beats Stronghold 3 Gold ($29.99, scores 2).

What could have been a fun Viking strategy game turns into a miserable chore thanks to utterly broken pathfinding. Your villagers constantly drop what they are doing, get stuck on random terrain, and starve to death right next to a full warehouse. The economy system makes zero sense half the time, leaving you staring at the screen wondering why nobody is working. Do yourself a favor and skip this frustrating mess.

Exploration is heavily rewarded, but not...
Brilliant, underrated game. This was my first game ever played. I perfectly remember how amazing the simulation and the city building was. Not even Settlers had the intricacies that Cultures has. This is presumably the 2'nd game in the Cultures series although not shown explicitly anywhere. I did not find the original around, unless taking the GOG version. This is the ultimate society simulation and city building...
