What players say
This game is true art unlike anything after FFX/X-2. The brand is dead and bad remakes and bad mainline games ruined it. May this franchise die so I can live in peace. 16 was the only semi good one but even then it pales in comparison to the golden era.

I missed out on this game back in the day. Even though it had been sitting in my Steam library for years, I always hesitated to jump in because I found its art style a bit too childish and fairytale-like. But now, in the Year of the Horse, I decided to 100% every single Final Fantasy game on Steam, so its time finally arrived. Overall, I was wrong to write it off, though the seriousness of the story sadly couldn't...
Literally my favorite Final Fantasy with the most human story I've ever been told. Made me fall in love with RPG's and JRPG's as a whole. 9/5 stars.
