Kingpin is a tale of revenge. Take control of a street gang and order your recruits to attack, defend or even do a little safe-cracking to pick up some needed cash. Use that cash to buy nastier weapons and take down your punk enemies in this intense first-person shooter. Being the Kingpin is half attitude and all action.

Kingpin has quickly become one of my favorite games. I was interested in it when I was younger because it was a Quake 2 engine game and I love the blocky brush-based level design, but I could never get past the beginning of Kingpin. The game does not have a tutorial and you have to stealth a segment at the start that I couldn't figure out. I'm so glad I came back to this game with fresh eyes and finally finished it...

Kingpin: Life of Crime was made by Xatrix Entertainment (eventually became Gray Matter Interactive) who also made Redneck Rampage, Quake II: The Reckoning, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. This original 1999 version is still way way better than remaster Reloaded. Yes, graphics, physics and the way how the game is told is outdated but still way ahead its remaster. This is not only FPS where you go forward and kill all that moves. You can collect money, buy weapons, ammo, attachments, hire people who will protect your back.
