This game had a lot of potential, and I like the fact that it attempts to take a look at the darker side of piracy in the Caribbean. There's no fantasy theme like with Skull & Bones, and there's no lighthearted tone like any sort of Pirates of the Caribbean game or Sid Meier's Pirates. The game is jank and has it's charm sure, but when it keeps crashing when you want to progress with the story, that is a big problem.
Please note: this game has bugs and serious crash issues. I nearly couldn't finish it. When I reached Chapter 3, everything was fine until I arrived at Saint George - after that, the game started crashing every 10-30 seconds. It took quite a bit of tweaking on my side, but I eventually managed to fix it. I'm mentioning this purely as a warning to anyone interested: the broken state of this game can genuinely drive...
