I played Dungeon Siege for the first time in 2026, over the course of the last three weeks. Here are my thoughts, with a TL;DR at the bottom. Dungeon Siege is very old by now, in terms of how rapidly the gaming industry evolves, and it feels a bit primitive but also holds up shockingly well. I used to buy a lot of these older games before I built my current computer as they were probably the only things that would...
Dungeon Siege is a game that starts out fantastic and has a great premise, but declines rapidly as you put more and more time into it. The world design is absolutely fantastic, with each map being very unique both in feel and in look. It's definitely the best part of the game. There are also a bunch of different enemies, items and spells, so even if you essentially do the same thing all the time, it feels fresh...
