What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
Left Alone plunges you into a first-person psychological horror journey, where darkness and memories intertwine. As secrets emerge from shadows, use your wits to solve puzzles and explore haunting, forgotten locations. Every step echoes with the past; can you face the truths that await?
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 2 GB of memory, GTX 560m / HD6870 1GB or equivalent, 1 GB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
Across all 110 discounts in the 10 years tracked, the median cut is 80 percent, about 5 weeks apart. Today's $1.39 at 80 percent off still sits 101 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 23 percent on value. It is better reviewed than 60 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, RATSHAKER™ ($2.99, scores 80) beats it on value, while it beats Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs ($19.99, scores 20).

This site sampled 300 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 1 was written by a buyer who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to July 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 53 percent of the 139 reviews written there were positive, against 75 percent overall, and those are 23 percent of everything written about it.

Not Bad Spooky Horror Mystery Game Only Some Puzzles Was Too Hard But Overall It's Actually Great For Small Indie Game Only The Performance In Some Places Is Really Bad And At The Beginning The Textures Flickered But Overall Awesome Spooky Game

Left Alone is not a good game. The textures blur terribly during movement, though this is less obvious at night when most of the game is played, there's no option for rebinding keys, which is just lazy, the puzzles are both simple and yet oddly frustrating towards the end of the game, and certain scripted sequences last an absurdly long time, so bloody long that you end up searching the room you're stuck in over and...
Really enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to the Rebirth version. If it has more of the Adventure Kit the dev made, I know it's going to be great. Also, the Adventure Kit itself is genuinely really good-if you make games solo, professionally, or even just as a hobby, I'd definitely recommend checking out this developer's kits. A few small bugs here and there, but nothing that affected gameplay for me at all.
