After three hours of deathlooping and developing a deep, terrible, fermenting hatred of the game as I tried to earn back enough gems to purchase an armor that would ease the pain of starting the game. Which for some godawful reason, the devs decided to tuck into a missable corner far-behind the vendors with new spells and relics. I pulled up cheat engine and broke the resources. Pretty fun initially but it hits an awful combination of being punishingly difficult while the gameplay loop gets stale after around 10 hours so I end up not feeling like I even need to beat the game. Maybe the 4th boss/Chaos wizard man is really cool and I'm missing out, but so be it.
It's a fairly simple roguelite game, but fun and relatively fast-paced. I always come back to it every year or so and play randomized skills/gear/cloak runs. Get it on sale under $10
