I honestly don't like this kind of dialogue-heavy game. Even in the dozens of RPGs I've played, I rarely paid that much attention to dialogue. Partly because some games subject you to endless walls of text, and partly because, when it comes to role-playing, the characters I create tend to have this attitude of, "Something happened in the world? Disco Elysium is a rare game that trusts its audience to read, think, and endure discomfort. It repays that trust with writing that's among the best the medium has to offer, a testament to video games as literature.
