The DRL Simulator is the premier FPV racing game and simulator. The DRL Sim offers a robust, evolving feature set, including high-intensity drone racing. It packs tracks that DRL's real world pilots compete on, with more added every season. And, it's the only place to fly DRL's exclusive drone, the Racer4!
What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
- Steam lists in-app purchases but we have no detail on them. Small caution applied.
The value story
The lowest price on record is $4.99, set in October 2020. It has been discounted 22 times in the 9 years tracked here, typically at 50 percent off, with about 15 weeks between sales.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 18 percent on value. It is pricier than 64 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 80 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Automobilista 2 ($39.99, scores 52) beats it on value, while it beats Wild Warfare (free, scores 31).
11 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written November 2021 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 41 percent of the 291 reviews written there were positive, against 79 percent overall, and those are 7 percent of everything written about it.

Really cool game, I like the maps and the start of the tutorial, it is one of the best in my opinion. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT since the servers have shut down. You can still play the maps offline but even the tutorial missions, you can only play the first 9 maps and then should connect to the server which does not work. So yes, the tutorial is really good but it is not complete and probably won't be again until...
DLR was my first and favorite FPV Simulator, but due to them shutting off the servers on XMAS 2025 I stopped using it altogether. No flying with friends and no leaderboards take the fun out of it.
Well it was fun while it lasted... The Drone Racing League (DRL) simulator servers are permanently or indefinitely down, leaving the game unable to connect online. No Official Support: The developers have provided no updates, and the domain registrar lists the main game domain as inactive, pointing to an abandoned project.
