Its a linear game, although it has open world, dont expect to be able to explore after final mission. You will be forced to restart with new game plus. You can ofcourse stall the game (never progress the story) that way you can have some kind of open world, but most accesories and not unlockable unless you progress to far in story. if you wanna die a million time, if you wanna get frustrated, if you wanna be lost all the time, then this game is exactly what you need.
to make a boss harder you dont just make every attack unblockable sitting and grinding for levels so you can tank attacks from a boss because every attack is unparryable so you can defeat them isnt how you make an enjoyable and difficult souls like
