Score: 6.0 / 10 Left Alive is a game I really wanted to like, mainly because it takes place in the same universe as Front Mission, and I've always enjoyed that series, especially the tactical entries and the focus on wanzers. A blend of Metal Gear Solid, Front Mission and Freedom Fighters on paper sounds good but with a poorly written story, dull combat and poor overall execution makes this just a very average experience. Now I did pick this game up for like $3 so I cant complain too much, however just a little more polish, more mech sequences and maybe a couple hours shorter I'd recommend this tittle.
I have no idea why the negative reviews... It may not be the most heart pumping of survival games, this was certainly not as tiring as Alien : Isolation despite the similar inventory, but it does what is expected of it. Given that you have played at least the 3 first Front Mission games, this will finally give you the Zaftran side of things in a way that is a nice little change of pace.
