This is a tough one because I really wanted to like this game. I tried and tried several times but I might ultimately have to quit. I've beaten Sekiro before which I guess gives me a false sense of confidence whenever I'm told a game is 'hard'. The central pitch is cool: when you're defeated you get a random event, and you spawn somewhere nearby randomly. You need to worry about things like food, water, cold and...
A game that lies to you while telling you to forget about it and just admire the world. That's how I would summarize Outward in one sentence, and I suspect this review will get a lot of hate from people who really love Outward.
