This game is not Free-To-Play! The free-to-play portion only covers the initial area of Wizard City. Once you finish that starting zone, you must pay for a subscription or purchase individual areas with (a lot of) Crowns to access the rest of the game.

Its a classic. I grew up this this game and recently came back to play it for nostalgia and it is everything i remember it being. It you want to play an mmorpg with a group of friends or meet a party online to play with this is a great, easy game to play.
