This is the best AC in the franchise in my opinion, it doesn't get much better than this. If you want to jump into Assassin's Creed for the first time absolutely buy this over Shadows as that game is a terrible representation of the AC series.
As a long-time Assassin's Creed fan, I knew this game's story leaves a lot to be desired. The gameplay experience is spectacular, though (after you narrow down the proper gameplay and graphics settings that suit your computer), and the right combination of gear and abilities make this game a proper demigod experience.
