I am a huge, lifelong fan of the Nancy Drew games. I have beaten and/or played all but the newest game. This is by far my least favorite in the series. The design of the game is totally different than the older titles, and not in a good way. The movement is clunky and it's incredibly easy to get stuck for hours or days on a chapter. Missing something incredibly minute makes it impossible to progress at some points...
I love Nancy Drew and HER Interactive, and I have recently done a replay of every game. This is the only one I didn't finish because it is actually unplayable. Graphics are bad, its hard to navigate, its glitchy, voice acting is bad, I don't like how the dialogue is shown, there are basically no puzzles.... its just really disappointing. And I hate that because a game about Salem would have been really fun. I almost...
I bought this game I think when it first game out in 2019. I didn't have a gaming laptop at the time, so like most everyone else back then who played/tried to play it, it was terribly laggy. I ended up quitting very early on in the story, because the lag made gameplay too difficult and unpleasant.
